Marketing and outreach will be an ongoing effort to create an awareness of the RCAM brand. Creating an awareness of the RCAM brand by telling the story of this Colorado-made movement will increase the demand for RCAM-made products, build partnerships to utilize the RCAM cut and sew centers, and ultimately, help the RCAM network to grow. It is a desire of the RCAM creators to add additional centers throughout rural Colorado, creating a network of skilled operators and supporting Colorado’s apparel and design industry and economic development throughout the state.

To develop products and services for specific market segments
To inform customers about products and get products into their hands
To increase customer retention
To increase sales of products and services
To create visibility and recognition for the RCAM story, logo and brand
To develop a media campaign
To increase RCAM’s on-line presence with an on-line store
To grow the RCAM support network
To turn the RCAM logo into a recognizable and desired trademark
To grow the RCAM network of sewing sites in rural Colorado
Timeline and Activity:
July, 2016 thru 2017: Engage Elizabeth Cahill, OEDIT Marketing Director, to assist in the creation of a marketing campaign
August, 2016: Create e-commerce website and social media campaign
November, 2016: Develop samples for apparel and sewn product businesses
January, 2017: Attend Outdoor Retailer Trade Show with marketing materials and samples to develop business relationships with apparel and sewn product companies
Summer, 2017: Establish relationship with Independent College Bookstore Association for new contracts of collegiate licensed apparel
The RCAM campaign will utilize the support of industry professionals who have graciously offered their skills to help RCAM meet its mission. A variety of marketing approaches will be used, including story-telling, focusing on products and services, and ultimately, the exciting prospect of a network of cut and sew centers throughout rural Colorado.
